What is Aviation Maintenance Technology?
Expertise in the inspection, repair, service and overhaul of aircraft and engines is the goal of this program to be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Interpreting specifications from service and technical manuals, using testing procedures and equipment, diagnosing problems and making necessary repairs are the skills taught in aircraft maintenance. To work in the aircraft industry, the FAA must certify students completing this program.
What are my 天美传媒 choices?
Students enrolled in the Aviation Maintenance Technology program must achieve a minimum grade of C in each AMT course. Computer literacy must be demonstrated either by competency exam or by completing a computer literacy course prior to admission to the AMT courses.

Upon completion of the program, the graduate can:
- Demonstrate the knowledge necessary to maintain, repair, troubleshoot or alter aircraft, power plant or equipment of the aviation business.
- Properly record maintenance, alterations, or repairs as outlined by the FAA.

- Employ basic skills and knowledge to further enhance learning in an aviation maintenance environment.
- Pass all required FAA tests.
- Obtain the Airframe and Powerplant rating.

You can earn an Associate in Applied Science degree in five semesters or two and a half years if you maintain full-time status.
